Manufacturing process

Ethical and sustainable materials
Our creations are made from noble and environmentally friendly materials. For our acetate accessories, we collaborate with the century-old Italian house Mazzucchelli, renowned for its expertise in cellulose acetate, a material of natural origin and 100% renewable. Our gilded brass pieces are shaped and welded by hand in Parisian workshops, renowned for their excellence in working with precious metals. Each piece is gilded with fine gold, a process that enhances our creations.

A handcrafted production
At Rosematic, producing in France has been an obvious choice since our beginnings. This choice reflects our desire to promote the talents of French craftsmanship and the unique know-how of the Jura region in particular. Our models are handmade in factories specializing in hair accessories, where each manufacturing step is carried out by hand with care and precision.

A meticulous and refined process
The manufacturing of our hair jewelry follows many successive steps. The acetate is cut before being shaped, either hot or cold in water. The acetate is curved and shaped by hand on forms and counter-forms. Polishing is carried out in barrels filled with boxwood logs that rotate for several days. This process gives the acetate its incomparable shine and softness. This finish is completed by manual polishing with rollers. Then comes the assembly stage: some decorative pieces are set while others are screwed with watch or eyewear parts. Thanks to our creative and innovative designs, our manufacturers, whether in the Jura or in Paris, are often required to push their technical limits, to offer the unique and sophisticated character sought for our creations.
